Gonzales on “Le Mouv”

On Dec 14, 2012, Chilly Gonzales paid a visit to the French radio station Le Mouv to give an in-depth interview and piano lesson to Christophe Crénel; host of the “Rodéo sur le Mouv” show. Over the course of the one-hour interview Christophe and Gonzales cover a very wide range of topics, and play a few songs: Continue reading

Reviews reviewed: Chilly Gonzales polarizes in Munich and Karlsruhe

“Perhaps the best entertainer we have” – that’s what renowned sueddeutsche.de wrote one day after Chilly Gonzales’ show at Prinzregententheater, Munich. Only two days later, the über-boring newspaper of my hometown Karlsruhe, BNN (Badische Neueste Nachrichten), calls him a better “piano teacher”. Actually, this was supposed to be a review of the Karlsruhe concert, until BNN “invited” me to write down some thoughts about it. Continue reading

Journos Gone Gonzo

Many of the video interviews you can find online have something in common: a mediocre to bad interviewer. That is certainly not due to Chilly Gonzales‘ intimidating personality, on the contrary, but because they freeze with respect for his seemingly temperamental and experiment-loving stage persona. Continue reading

Q Interview (Sept 2012)

The O.P. (Original Prankster)

Ever the prankster, Chilly Gonzales has a habit of embedding multiple hidden meanings in interviews, songs, and even iPod playlists! Being in the music business for many years, Gonzales has probably been interviewed thousands of times and asked every question imaginable. So why not have some fun with interview requests? Continue reading
